Yuliia Buhlak is a passionate marine biologist. After the war has started in Ukraine, she had to flee with her 4 y.o. child to Norway and start her life again. She decided to make her old dream to come true and created a brand of fish leather accessories FISKIN (www.fiskin.no). It was a real relief to work with something meaningful during this difficult times. Fish skin is not only a beautiful material but it is sustainable. Fish skins represent up to 6-10% of the total body mass, and very often they just get discarded. Fiskin is a high end brand that is addding value to this precious material. After 1 year and a half, fish skin startup is getting ready to scale up.
